Come and experience a unique sporting experience on the shores of one of the most beautiful lakes in Greece! The Vegoritis Lake Run returns and invites you to run, walk and enjoy the magical route next to the serene waters of Vegoritis. A celebration of sports for the whole family, in a landscape of unparalleled beauty in the heart of Pella.

The event, organized by the Municipality of Edessa, the Pella Regional Council and a host of local organizations, offers options for every level of fitness, from experienced runners to children and enthusiasts of dynamic walking.

The Games

1. 15 km Race | The Lakeside Challenge

The main race route is a rewarding challenge. Run 15 kilometers on a fast, asphalt road with minimal elevation changes, ideal for testing your limits and achieving a new personal record.

• Route: The start is from the Arnissa Nautical Club facilities. The athletes follow the lakeside road towards Agios Panteleimonas, make a U-turn at the 7.5th km and return for an impressive finish at the starting point, with the lake as a backdrop.
• Refueling: There will be support stations at the 4th, 8th, 12th km, as well as full refueling at the finish.

2. 5 km Race | Running & Power Walking

An ideal choice for new runners, groups of friends or those who want to enjoy nature with a dynamic walk. A beautiful, flat route that allows you to enjoy every moment.

• Route: Start and finish at the Arnissa Nautical Club facilities.
• Refueling: Support station at the 2.5th km.
• Time Limit: 1 hour and 20 minutes.

3. Children’s 1000 m Race | The Little Heroes of the Lake

Our little friends, ages 6 to 12, have their own race! A fun 1000 meter course where all the kids are winners.

• Participation: Free for all Primary School students.

More than a Match: A Complete Experience for All

The Vegoritis Lake Run is not just for runners! Throughout the games, visitors and attendants will have the opportunity to experience the magic of the area. Enjoy a relaxing boat ride on Lake Vegoritis and take a special tour of the picturesque island of Agios Nikolaos.
