The Edessaos River, also known as Vodas, is one of the most important rivers of the Regional Unit of Pella, which crosses the city of Edessa and creates the famous Edessa Falls, one of the most impressive natural attractions in Greece.
Geography & Course
The river has its source in the area of Mount Voras (Kaimaktsalan) and flows through the city of Edessa, where it forms the iconic waterfalls. It then continues its flow westwards, crossing the plain of Pella, before flowing into the river Loudias.
