About Fried Peppers with Mizithra
Fried Peppers with Mizithra, Garlic and Smoked Paprika is an excellent appetizer that brings intense aromas and flavors to the table. This recipe combines the rich, creamy texture of the myzithra with the distinctive flavour of the smoked paprika and the zest of the garlic, while the peppers offer a delicious, slightly spicy note.
Ingridients
- 1 kilo of bachovo peppers
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 250 g. mizithra
- 1 tablespoon of smoked paprika
Execution
- Frying Peppers: Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and fry the bahawu peppers until they turn golden brown and crispy. Then place them on a plate and set aside.
- Preparing the Mizithra: In the same pan, add the olive oil and the garlic cloves. Saute the garlic lightly until the oil becomes fragrant and add the mizithra, stirring constantly until it softens and becomes creamy.
- Final Shuffle: Add the peppers and top with the smoked paprika. Stir well so that all the flavors are incorporated.
This delicious snack is ideal to accompany a glass of tsipouro or wine, and is a special choice of traditional Greek cuisine.
