Mount Paiko is located in Macedonia on the border of the regional units of Pella and Kilkis with the peak of Gola-Tsuka at an altitude of 1,650 metres. It is connected to the west with Kaimaktsalan or Vora and to the east is the valley of Axios. Paiko is the largest forest in Greece with rich vegetation full of chestnut trees and several springs.

The flora consists of about 2,500 plant specimens. The trees covering Paiko are mainly chestnut, beech, pine, oak, cedar, willow, poplar and birch. Paiko has one of the largest chestnut forests in Greece with an area of around 4 500 hectares. Plane trees, apple trees, walnut trees and ivy are found more sparsely. Rich in ferns and a variety of mushrooms. The flora of Pike also includes the following species.
