Just seven kilometres south of Giannitsa, the visitor encounters the beautiful area of the Loudia River, known as “Zero“. Its name comes from the altitude of the area, which is identical to the sea level (0 meters). It is a unique landscape that combines natural serenity with sporting activity.

On the banks of the river operates the Municipal Rowing Rink, the headquarters of the Giannitsa Yacht Club, which is active in the sports of canoeing – kayaking and rowing. The gentle river currents and the spacious water surface offer ideal conditions for both training and official competitions.

The area has been developed with respect to the natural environment: on the north bank, recreational areas have been created, with guesthouses, a restaurant and distinctive landscaping that enhances the visitor’s experience without altering the landscape.
